Celebrating the Sacrament of First Holy Communion

Our children in Year 3 made their Sacrament of First Holy Communion. They have been so reverent and prayerful throughout. We ask that every single day be filled with joy and love as they have accepted Jesus Christ into their lives. May Jesus bless them with prosperity and guide them on His path. We pray the children have a great life ahead as they follow the path that Jesus shows us. May they find peace and happiness with Lord Jesus.

We are grateful to Mrs Jones and Miss Doherty for preparing the children so beautifully and also to Father Philip and Father John.

John 6:35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the most important feast days in the liturgical calendar of the Roman Catholic Church and is one of the most widely known and well practiced Catholic devotions.

The celebration of the Sacred Heart is associated with the physical heart of Jesus Christ and the wound it received when Jesus was dying on the cross. The heart is seen to symbolise Jesus Christ's divine love for humanity.
