We are excited that you have chosen our school and we cannot wait to meet your child. To ensure a successful start to school life we have a super three-part induction programme.  We begin in July by going to visit your child in their current nursery setting. Secondly, your child is invited into school for a morning with a parent in the summer term. Finally, we will come and see your child at home in September, the week before they start school, so that they have some special one to one time with their teacher and teaching assistant.

On Monday 4th July and Wednesday 6th July, Miss Smith will be visiting the children at their Nurseries. Miss Smith will try her best to visit all children in their current setting. Please ensure that you have told the school office your child’s nursery and days that they attend. You can call us on 0121 444 6530 or email reception@stalbanrc.bham.sch.uk

Wednesday 13th July 10:00am – 12:30pm You are invited to a ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’. This will be an informal event and a chance for the children to get to know some new friends and take part in some fun activities with parents. Staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Please can your child bring along a teddy bear or cuddly toy. During this session, children will also have a chance to explore their new classroom with their new teacher, Miss Smith. We will then ask parents to meet together for a short induction meeting in the hall before coming back together to have a school lunch. At this meeting you will be able to sign up to a home visit in September. All Parents will be asked to sign up for a home visit on Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th or Friday 9th September.
