Active days

One day each week, we will be requesting that the children come to school in their OUTDOOR PE kits. On their designated day the children will have their outdoor PE session or swimming and also be encouraged to access the lunchtime activities provided by our qualified sports coaches on the school field.

The children will be required to have their outdoor trainers and a pair of indoor pumps to wear around the school in case they get very muddy. It may be a good idea to have a spare pair of bottoms in school just in case they get too muddy.

PE Outdoor Kit

  • School jumper
  • Black tracksuit bottoms or leggings
  • School purple t-shirt
  • Outdoor trainers

For children to grow up healthy, it is important they are physically active and eat healthy foods every day. To help children develop habits that will last a lifetime, an active, healthy lifestyle must start early in life. Physical activity has benefits at every age, and helps children:

  • keep their heart and lungs strong and healthy
  • become more flexible
  • develop strong bones
  • keep a healthy body weight
  • lower the risk of several diseases and health problems
  • improve their mood and self-esteem, and progress at school
