It is recommended that all children between the ages of 5 and 18 do at least 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous activity a day.
Moderate intensity activities will raise your heart rate and make you breathe faster and feel warmer.
At St Alban's, we provide a range of lunchtime activities to help all children be active. We provide a range of activities such as multi-sports, football, tri-golf, handball, cricket and many more games and sports.
Inspired Sports coaches
We have a range of coaches who help deliver our active lunch times for KS1 and KS2.

Golf
The aim of the school coaching programmes is to not only give children the opportunity of experiencing a new sport, but to also share the educational benefits and life skills that golf has to offer too.
Play leaders
In September we re-launched the Play Leader Programme during lunchtimes. 12 children from Year 5 were chosen to go to Bishop Challoner to attend the day of training on how to be a play leader. Each lunchtime Year 5 Play Leaders organise an activity for either KS1 or KS2 children. Everyone is encouraged to join in and be active.
