November

The Month of the Holy Souls

In the global Catholic Church, November is traditionally a month when we pray for the Holy Souls. These are not only people we have known and loved, but also people who have died alone and have no one to pray for them.  It begins with two important feast days: The Feast of All Saints which is celebrated on the 1st November, and the Feast of the Holy Souls which is celebrated on the 2nd of November.

God our loving Father,

During November, the month of the Holy Souls, Help us to honour those who have died. Hear us as we pray for loved ones who have moved on from this world to join you in heaven. Through our prayers for the Holy Souls may we know that your love unites all your children, in heaven and on earth, now and forever.

Amen.

The Solemnity of All Saints

Father Phillip celebrated mass with us to remember All Saints and the tremendous work they did in their lives. Father spoke to us about the importance of the saints and how we can aspire to be like them on our own personal journey to sainthood. During the offertory, Father blessed the new paten and chalice the parish bought for our school.

The Feast of Christ the King

Sunday 22nd November 2022

O Lord our God, You alone are the Most Holy King and Ruler of all nations

We pray to you in the great expectation of receiving from you love, mercy, peace and justice. Guide and protect us on our mission to allow your children to become true witnesses to their faith. With the love and kindness you showed, help us to build your kingdom on Earth so that we may be united with you and have eternal life.

We ask this through Christ our Lord,

Amen
