Our Class Novel
Stig of the Dump by Clive King
Please listen to your child read a few pages of our class novel each night and discuss what they have read with them. You could even take turns to read and ask questions in order to develop their knowledge and understanding of the novel. You could discuss the vocabulary with them and perhaps create your very own 'glossary'.
Every week in school the children will complete reading task related to Stig of the Dump.
Reading and understanding the text will not only encourage the enjoyment of reading but will also support their comprehension skills and extend their vocabulary. Thus creating confident and imaginative writers!
