Advent

Preparing for the Birth of Jesus Christ

During the season of Advent we invite our families into school to pray with us as a school community. Pupils plan 'stay and pray' sessions with class teachers and we ensure that the children spend special time with their loved ones in prayer. The sessions follow the gather, listen, respond and go forth elements that pupils are familiar with in class. There is often a hymn selected by the children, a reading from scripture and a time of reflection.
