Homework

In Year Six, pupils are expected to read good quality texts for at least fifteen minutes daily and look up the meaning of new vocabulary using a dictionary.  In addition to this, the pupils are required to practise their spellings in their LSCWC (Look, Say, Cover, Write & Check) books.  They should also continue to practise their times tables daily, in order to ensure rapid recall to apply them to formal methods of calculations for long multiplication and division.

The pupils receive fortnightly homework tasks that are independent activities to include researching, recording and presenting new information and knowledge.  They are also set 'MyMaths' online homework, to consolidate the work completed in lessons.
