Summative assessment: Children are assessed each term on Insight by Teacher judgement. Children are assessed at the end of each half term by Mini Primary Knowledge Curriculum quizzes.

Formative assessment: Step for Depth questions used in each lesson.

Retrieval practise at the start of each lesson to allow children to know more and remember more.

Each class is assessed at the end of each topic through a mini quiz during class lessons. 

At the end of each term, teachers will assess children against the National Curriculum Objectives. At the end of the year teachers will give an overall grade for Science which will be available on your child's report in the Summer term.
