Your homework this week is to design a Christmas card on the theme of welcome, belonging and peace. Remember Mary, Joseph and Jesus were asylum seekers looking for safety. It is a national competition for Schools of Sanctuary. The cards will then be available to buy on the City of Sanctuary website and advertised to the over 115 local City of Sanctuary community groups across the UK.

Dear Year Six,
For your homework for the next two weeks, I would like you to make a simple musical instrument out of junk materials, such as card, empty plastic bottles and cutting tools. On Wednesday 8th June 2022, we will be visiting Brandwood End cemetery to study war memorials.
Please complete your own research by asking grandparents, parents, neighbours or friends if they have any pictures or resources we could use to support this: including pictures or statements of past pupils; any photographs, maps, diary entries or newspaper clippings or any sources you are able to share.
Remember: We have our first swimming lesson on Tuesday 7th June, so you need to get together you swimming costume/trunks, swimming caps and towels.
