The Season of Easter 

Christ is Risen 

 

In this season of Eastertide, we celebrate the hope, joy and peace of Easter and consider the meaning of faith and the need to continue Christ's mission. In the words of St John Paul: ‘We are an Easter people, and “Alleluia” is our song!’ Eastertide is 50 days of rejoicing and celebration between Easter Sunday and Pentecost. We rejoice in the hope, joy and peace that Jesus brings through His death and resurrection. The Solemnity of Easter is the central truth of our Christian faith. The risen Jesus brings us hope and a new friendship with Him as he leads us to Heaven. It also brings us joy as we know he is still alive today!
